After 10 years of professional activity, first in the U.S. and later in the Azores, Paulo Macedo founded in 1997 Macedo Architects, in Ponta Delgada, Azores a based firm, responding with organization and professional accuracy to the demands, requirements, nature and volume of contracted projects.

In 2010 the brand Macedo Architects – Architecture | Engineering | Consulting is registered with the strategy of progressive development, assuredness update and in response to the market requirements.

His signature on public and private works carried out in the nine islands of the archipelago of Azores and in the Portuguese mainland, proves their extensive curriculum and special skills in a variety of projects in architecture, interior architecture, urban design and engineering specialties, as well as inspections of work and the drafting of procurement procedures and contract management contracts.

The diversity of work ranges from public and private detached houses (over 200 dwellings) and multifamily (more than 1,000 dwellings), to airport buildings, commercial, education (schools, kindergartens and nurseries), sport centres, energy / geothermal energy industry, health / medical care, services and tourism as well as urban design and landscaping.
